What is the Law Enforcement Cyber Investigations & Digital Forensics Camp?

USD' Center for Cybersecurity Engineering and Technology has been hosting high school cybersecurity summer programs since its founding. In collaboration with San Diego Law Enforcement agencies we are preparing to offer again in 2021 our successful Cybersecurity Law Enforcement Investigations & Digital Forensics Camp; a week-long program lead by our San Diego law enforcement partners from the FBI, US Secret Service, San Diego Police Department, San Diego DHS/Harbor Police, US Customs and Border Patrol, and the San Diego District Attorney's Office.  The program focuses on technical aspects of cybersecurity investigations and digital forensics from a law enforcement perspective.

Program Activities:

  • Formal instruction from Law Enforcement industry professionals and leaders
  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity offensive and defense tools
  • Field trips to law enforcement agencies and their forensics laboratories in the San Diego area
  • Law enforcement cybersecurity career development for students

Who should attend the Law Enforcement Cyber Investigations and Digital Forensics Camp?

The objective of the program is to inspire a new generation of college bound students
into the emerging and critical law enforcement cybersecurity field.

  • Incoming college bound 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders interested in acquiring law enforcement cybersecurity skills and exploring cybersecurity as a possible career goal

Camp Price: $495

Early Registration Discount: $100

Our 2019 inaugural camp was sell-out success. Due to the Pandemic, we were unable to offer this camp last summer. Depending on County and USD facility restrictions, we are considering offering a summer 2021 camp in July or August. Please check back with us for future updates about this and other USD 2021 cybersecurity school year and summer programs.
