Student Relocation Support

Dear Students:

We offer you the following additional services as you relocate this week from campus and transition to remote learning:

Needs-Based Resources

Those students facing unforeseen hardships due to the health emergency and relocation can submit their requests here. Your email address will be automatically recorded when you submit this form. Your requests will be reviewed and a response will be provided within 48 hours. All information provided will remain confidential. Please submit requests by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16. Do not complete this form if you have already completed the form, “USD Application to Remain in On-Campus Residence Halls beyond March 22, 2020.” Thank you to Associated Student Government (ASG) for financially funding and partnering with the university on the needs-based resources.

Copley Library Remote Services

Copley Library is open and available to support students remotely. Click here for their adjusted hours for the remainder of the spring semester.  The Ask a Librarian feature searches a robust list of FAQs and provides links to answers. The ‘Ask Us’ pop-up chat feature on the Copley Library home page connects you live to a librarian who can support your academic needs during reference hours.

Mental Health Support

As a reminder, if you need mental health support, please contact the Counseling Center.  After hours support is available 24/7 by calling 619-260-4655 and selecting option 1.

Enhanced Tram Services

Beginning Sunday, March 15, USD Tram Services is offering shuttle service to San Diego Airport from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily for USD students. Click here to reserve your ride. Service to Old Town Station will continue starting Monday, March 16, from 6:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thank you to ASG for the enhanced tram services idea!

Special Hotel Rates

Bartell Hotels is offering a special rate to USD students, parents, employees and alumni that includes a 20 percent discount off standard room rates at any Bartell Hotels property. Several of these hotels are waiving resort and parking fees. The discount will be available through the end of March and may be extended, if necessary. The discount also includes breakfast and other incentives.

Bookings can be made via the USD/Bartell Hotels partnership link or by calling 800-345-9995.  Students making reservations with their parent’s credit card can let the booking agent know, and they will most likely be asked to fill out a credit card authorization form. For additional questions, please contact cpetti@sandiego.edu.

Additional questions can be directed to universitycommunications@sandiego.edu.
