Fans can get their first look at the 2018 edition of University of San Diego Torero football on Saturday at 2 p.m. (Pacific) when the team lines up for a scrimmage at Torero Stadium.

The scrimmage is free to the public. There will be a tailgate brunch beginning at 1 p.m. and athletics director, Bill McGillis, and sixth-year head coach, Dale Lindsey, will address the group during the event.

TeamIMPACT

USD will be adding one more member to its team this season with the addition of David Vellon. David will be joining the Toreros as part of TeamIMPACT, a national nonprofit that matches children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses with college sports teams to foster confidence, optimism and a sense of belonging.

David will sign his National Letter of Intent before his family, USD alumni and new teammates after the scrimmage. Remarks by be made by Coach Lindsey and scholar-athletes. Throughout the season David will be with the Toreros and with team advocates, Daniel Cooney, Bryan Doyle, Tanner Wilkey, Victor Lopez and Zach Nelson.

Football Ticket Plans

Torero football fans have a variety of options for the 2018 campaign that includes five 2 p.m. games at Torero Stadium. Under the direction of sixth-year head coach, Dale Lindsey, the Toreros begin with Western New Mexico on Sept 1.

Season tickets can be purchased at the following prices — $60-75 (plus a per-account contribution) for reserved seating, $50 (faculty/staff), and a promotional offer of $40 (plus a per-account contribution) for recent USD graduates within last five years.

Single game ticket prices for football include the following: reserved seating ($25), general admission ($10 adult, $5 children). USD faculty and staff receive up to four free general admission tickets (available upon request).

The Toreros provide an excellent Family Four Pack for $48; this comes with four general admission tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and one popcorn. Group tickets for general admission are $7 (10 to 19 people), and $5 for groups of 20 or more. Additionally, all military personnel (with proper ID) can receive a complimentary ticket for all Torero home games (excluding premium games).

Here's the five-game home schedule for the 2018 Toreros:

Sept. 1 vs. Western New Mexico – 2 p.m.

Sept. 29 vs. Stetson – 2 p.m.

Oct. 13 vs. Dayton – 2 p.m. (Homecoming)

Oct. 27 vs. Jacksonville – 1 p.m.

Nov. 10 vs. Davidson – 2 p.m.
