Details

The concept and values of wilderness, along with the practice of wilderness preservation, have been under attack for the past several decades. In this interdisciplinary talk, Mark Woods responds to a number of anti-wilderness arguments, offers a rethinking of the received concept of wilderness, and develops a positive account of wilderness in terms of naturalness, wildness, and freedom. Mark Woods, PhD, is Associate Professor of Philosophy.
