Youth to College Program

The Youth to College program informs and encourages local youth about their post-high school opportunities, specifically their college options. A “how-to” college guide and handbook on college-bound programs are available, but the key ingredient is reaching out to local youth and personally empowering them to achieve their dreams.

The Youth to College Initiative is part of the USD Center for Community Service-Learning and was originally started with grant funding from the Corporation for National Service “Learn and Serve” as part of a statewide project involving 12 campuses and 12,000 college students. USD’s local partners are UCSD, Mesa College, and San Diego City College.
