This is your USD News Minute.

The College of Arts and Sciences and the Humanities Center have partnered with the U-T Festival of Books coming up on August 29. And starting today you can view a poster art exhibition commemorating 50 years of Chicano Park. The Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies wants your photos of life during the lockdown or rejecting racism and injustice. This is for their photo installation, “Inside Out: Stories of Protest and Pandemic.”

The Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering has been named a preferred provider of engineering talent allowing electrical engineering students the opportunity to apply for paid remote internships through the Advancing San Diego program.

And don’t forget about the many USD wellness resources still available to you virtually or via phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for those with urgent needs.

On the diversity front, Dr. Richard Charles Miller, has been appointed to the position of Interim Vice Provost for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Dr. Miller will assume this new role on September 1.
