Video: USD in the News Highlights for May

As the academic year came to a close in May, USD was busy helping students land summer internships, making plans to welcome students back to campus in the fall, celebrating our graduates and, of course, contributing expertise to a variety of topics.

Watch a video highlight reel of USD's media appearances over the past month:

On the national stage, USD professors shared ideas on progressive property taxes and commented on the government's use of direct cash payments to aid Americans. One professor offered a personal account of faith and belief in the afterlife.

As could be expected, the economy was a big topic of discussion. Professors discussed San Diegans' pre-pandemic personal income, worker's rights and well-being, and more. And in other news, a professor commented on a local spotting of a Great White shark, a USD employee surprised his daughter with a birthday parade, and a theology and religious studies professor discussed the ethics behind Amazon's new show, "Upload."
