This is your USD News Minute.

Through these trying times, Toreros are doing all they can to help one another. USD Costume Supervisor Corey Johnston has been in his shop, tirelessly sewing 400 cloth masks. “This is something that I’m gifted with the capacity to be able to do, so this is how I’m going to give back,” said Johnston.

The masks will go first to USD’s essential employees still working on campus.

In our nursing school, doctoral student Elena Johns has volunteered to join the front lines of the coronavirus outbreak in New York City.  Watch her interview with Dean Georges on the Toreros Together web page.

And we also have good news for our military and veteran community. Starting next academic year, USD will expand the Yellow Ribbon Program to cover 100% of veteran students' tuition and mandatory fees covered by the VA, this includes their eligible dependents pursuing an undergraduate degree at USD.

The 35th annual International Expo and Fashion Show took place online this year. Be sure to check that out on Instagram.

As always, thank you for watching. Stay safe, stay healthy, and we’ll see you next week.
