This is your USD News Minute.

We have great news to share with the class of 2020. After careful consideration, President Harris has announced a new plan for Commencement. The celebration will now take place in October during Homecoming and Family Weekend at USD. But that’s not all. For those unable to make it to campus, celebrations will be held in several cities around the country... more details to come.

USD professors, alumni and students pitching in

As the coronavirus crisis continues to unfold, our faculty and students are not only working hard on remote learning, but they’re also helping the community at large with their expertise and community service. USD alumnus James Brennan is stepping up to donate juices each week to local emergency rooms. And when the governor made the call for more doctors and nurses to join the California Health Corps, nursing student Adriana Velasco was among the first to sign up. You can find these and other stories on the USD News Center.

Reflections for Holy Week

You can also check out University Ministry’s YouTube Channel, where you’ll find video reflections each day from Holy Thursday through Easter Sunday and if you want to delve deeper, you can watch a 28-minute virtual tour of an exhibition on Christ’s Life, Death and Resurrection.

Stay safe, stay healthy and we’ll see you next week.
