Video: USD Professors Answer Questions from the Media Concerning COVID-19

The news around COVID-19 is changing every day. Short of oracles to predict the future, we rely on experts to help us make sense of the moment. At the University of San Diego, those experts are often our very own professors.

Watch a video highlighting USD's COVID-19 media appearances:

Throughout the past month, USD professors have contributed to news coverage on how COVID-19 affects pregnancy care and childbirth, migrants at the border, the real estate industry, the national economy, San Diego nonprofits, price gouging and more.

But professors are not the only ones springing into action. USD students volunteered their time to bring groceries and medicine to seniors in need. And when Calif. Governor Gavin Newsom announced a major new initiative to expand the health care workforce, USD nursing students were among the first to respond.

The Media Relations team maintains a comprehensive archive of media coverage of the University of San Diego. Visit the USD in the News web page. We’re always looking to expand our experts lists. USD faculty who want to be added to our directory for the news media can email press@sandiego.edu.
