The university was well-represented at the day-long event held on Linda Vista Road between Comstock and Ulric Streets.

Booths with USD ties included the Military and Veterans Program, the USD Legal Clinics, USD Graduate Student Nursing Association, the Office of Community and Government Relations, the USD student chapter of Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlan (MEChA) and the Karen and Tom Mulvaney Center for Community Awareness and Social Action.

Entertainment was provided by USD’s People of the Islands and the Folklorico and Mariachi Association (FAMA) dancers. Members of the USD men’s soccer team conducted an interactive skills clinic with Linda Vista youth at Baca Park.

Parade participants included more than 100 USD student-athletes, USD mascot Diego Torero, USD Vice President for University Advancement, Rick Virgin, and the USD Drumline.

USD President James T. Harris III attended the fair and was in the crowd as USD’s recent President for a Day, graduating senior Tiffany Zhang, presented a Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair and Parade representative with an oversized $1,000 gift check to support the event’s nonprofit organization.
