When are the graduate commencement ceremonies?

The graduate ceremonies are as follows:

  • Sunday, May 19, 2019 (10 a.m.): School of Leadership and Education Sciences and Professional and Continuing Education
  • Saturday, May 25, 2019 (10 a.m.): College of Arts and Sciences, Hahn School of Nursing and Health Sciences, Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies, School of Business, and Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering

How do I order my cap and gown?

Cap and gown orders can be placed at Grad Fest I (March 11-12) or in the Torero Store starting March 16.

Placing your cap and gown order is not meant to imply that you will complete all degree requirements or that you will be eligible to attend graduation ceremonies.

You will be able to pick up your cap and gown at Grad Fest II (May 1) or in the Torero Store starting May 2.

How many tickets will I receive for guests?

Tickets are not required for guests at the graduate commencement ceremonies.

Will the ceremonies be available to watch online via a livestream?

Yes, the live video of the ceremonies will be professionally streamed on the Commencement website. See the livestreaming page for details.

Where do I return my regalia after the ceremony?

Master's and doctoral students who rent their cap and gown must deposit them in marked bins after the ceremony. Bins will be located outside of the JCP, in front of Torero Store, as well as in front of Mother Rosalie Hill Hall.
