Adjunct Essentials

Your resource for finding what you need at USD

office supplies

Our teaching faculty (adjunct, clinical, and professors of practice) are valuable assets to the USD community. The Center for Educational Excellence understands the need to support you, especially given the additional challenges you might face in navigating multiple institutions with less formalized support.

Below, we have tried to compile information that may be of use for you, related to important policies, opportunities for training and professional development, and resources for support.  Please reach out to us at the CEE (cee@sandiego.edu) with questions should you need additional assistance or for help supporting your engagement with the USD community, both in and out of the classroom.

Please note that different programs may have specialized requirements, so make sure to always check with your department first.

"The NTT Connect hours were a really nice way to build relationships with other NTT folks across the USD community - as a new faculty member, these sessions were particularly helpful to be a part of the larger USD community. It is also valuable to have a space to share successes, worries, and struggles that are unique to a NTT position, especially during such a tumultuous time in academia. When so much of our jobs are now moved online and remote, it is really important to have a variety of avenues to connect and support each other." - Dr. Ruth Coffey, EOSC
