Fabulous First Fridays
The CEE’s popular Fabulous First Friday (FFF) events are a series of pedagogical discussions that occur on the first Friday of every month. The sessions focus on teaching issues and usually have a direct application to the classroom.
The monthly series focuses on a theme each year. In 2018-2019, the theme was Self-Regulated Learning and Metacognition. Materials from past FFF events are accessible on our Blackboard Organization.
For 2019-2020, the theme is based on James Lang's Small Teaching and Sarah Cavaunagh's The Spark of Learning. Faculty and staff with expertise in different areas will discuss their take on everyday lessons from the science of learning to energizing the college classroom with the science of emotion.
