The University of San Diego is seeking a senior person in any area of psychology for the position of Chair of the Department of Psychological Sciences. The department currently has 14 full-time faculty members and offers an undergraduate major and minor in psychology within the context of a Catholic liberal arts university. Our program strongly emphasizes the basic scientific nature of psychology, and an important component of our program is providing research and applied opportunities for our students. In addition to the responsibilities of the chair, the candidate can expect to teach Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, and advanced courses and laboratories in the area of expertise. The candidate will also be expected to maintain an active program of research that could involve undergraduate students. Salary will be commensurate with experience and rank.
