Patrick Signoret is completing his PhD in political science at Princeton University while based at the Center for U.S.–Mexican Studies at the University of California, San Diego (Jan 2020 – May 2021).

Signoret’s research interests include public security, organized crime, and intra-state conflict. His dissertation studies homicidal violence in contemporary Mexico, ultimately seeking to explain when and how order and peace arise in violent criminal contexts.

Signoret teaches research design in the MA in International Relations at the University of San Diego, with previous teaching experience in quantitative methods and Latin American politics.
