WSJ Names Two MFA Productions as Top Shows in 2011


The Wall Street Journal -- "New plays did far better, including the U.S. premiere of Alan Ayckbourn's "Life of Riley" at San Diego's Old Globe and three Off-Broadway premieres, David Ives's "The School for Lies" at Classic Stage Company, Lynn Nottage's "By the Way, Meet Vera Stark" at Second Stage Theatre and Zoe Kazan's "We Live Here" at the Manhattan Theatre Club. I also enjoyed two flawed but nonetheless vital premieres, Lydia R. Diamond's "Stick Fly" on Broadway and the U.S. premiere of Alan Bennett's "The Habit of Art" at Washington's Studio Theatre."
