“When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses.”
Beginning Friday, Oct. 31 and continuing through Sunday, Nov. 2, the USD community welcomes family and friends to celebrate in the festivities of Family Weekend. This celebration provides parents with the opportunity to see their child’s new “home,” meet administration and faculty, explore the campus, and take part in fun and exciting activities.
Gatherings from specific organizations such as International Center, Career Services, Wellness Center, NROTC, Student Affairs and Residential Life will be held on campus all weekend for parents and students to ask questions and get information.
Parents are encouraged to attend class this weekend. Academic mini-classes are being offered for parents to get a taste of students academic experience at USD. One class offers a hands-on experience in the new Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Electronic Classroom, where you can see a training program that teaches midshipmen to steer a Navy ship.
