USD’s Theatre Faculty and Students Honored with Pattè Awards

The 13th Annual Pattè Awards for Theatre Excellence were held on Monday, January 18, 2010 in San Diego.  Several members of the USD Theatre family were honored with awards.  Two USD Theatre productions received awards for excellence in direction and set design.  Rick Seer, director of The Old Globe/USD MFA Theatre Program was honored for Outstanding Direction of the USD Fall production of “Two Gentlemen of Verona”.  The undergraduate production, “ANON(ymous)” received an Outstanding Scenic Design award for the work of Robin Sanford Roberts. 

Other members of USD’s theatre programs received awards for their work in the local theatre community.  Jeannie Galioto, adjunct faculty member with the Theatre Arts department received an Outstanding Costume Design award for her work with Diversionary Theatre’s production of “Twist”.  Additionally the Old Globe’s production of “Six Degrees of Separation” with USD MFA students as part of its cast, received an Outstanding Production award.  Kevin Hoffmann, Vivia Font and Jordan McArthur (seated from right to left in photo) are USD MFA students who were cast in “Six Degrees of Separation”.
