"Hamlet," widely considered the most influential and powerful piece of theater written in the English language, is gracing USD's stage as you've never seen it before. "Hamlet: Abridged" is an exciting and comedic twist on the revered classic, told through a group of hopeless, but enthusiastic, actors who are attempting to stage their own production of Hamlet. With characters that do not know Shakespeare from Shinola and a runtime of less than 60 minutes, we promise a lovely evening of theater produced by USD's own student-run theater group.

The show is free, so please sign-up for seat reservations on the Theatre Arts Call board located just outside Camino 130. Seats reservations fill up fast, so signing up in advance is highly recommended. Donations for the show are accepted.

If seats reservations fill up during a particular show you want to see, a wait list will be available one hour before curtain. Wait list does not guarantee a seat for the show, but it is first come, first serve sign ups so arrive early to be put on the list. For additional show information, please contact Megan Smith, the production Manager at or 619-339-9768.
