Prepare for Graduation

Petition to Graduate

Are you on track to graduate next year? Congratulations! All students who have completed 90 units will gain access to the "Senior" tab on the MySanDiego portal. On this tab, there will be information and procedures to petition to graduate.

Be sure to get your advisor's signature on the form prior to delivering the form to the chair/program or area director.

You can petition to graduate in August if you take your remaining classes over the summer on campus. In order for August graduates to be eligible to walk in May Commencement, the remaining classes must be taken at USD.

Advisor Hold?

Students that have completed 90 or more units and have not yet filed a graduation petition will have an advisor hold placed on their account preventing further registration. In this case, students will not be permitted to enroll in classes until the petition has been processed.
