Register Now for Virtual Summer Send-Off Events for Parents/Families, Student Social Events

One of the best ways for parents and families of incoming University of San Diego to get up-to-date campus information, meet other families and connect with USD officials is to be part of the annual USD Summer Send-Offs programs.

Hosted by the USD Parent and Family Relations Office, these gatherings are typical held in person around the country. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, this summer’s meet-ups are not in-person, but rather online by way of Zoom technology. There is a three-part informational series of videos to view, too, prior to the new school year starting in August. Here is the first video and the second video. The third video will be available on Aug. 5.

Events have been happening in different regions of the country since June 19 and they’ll continue through Aug. 6. To register for a Summer Send-Off in your state/region, click on the appropriate link and a follow-up email will be sent with more details. To create a Zoom account, click here.

Event times vary so be sure to note the date and time of your event. Here is the remaining schedule as of Tuesday, July 21:

July 21: International Families.

July 21: Spanish-speaking Parents and Families.

July 22: Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.

There have been social online events going on since late June, but there are still many chances to jump online and meet-up with fellow Toreros-to-be. Take a look at the remaining schedule below.
