Yue Deng is a clinical professor of economics at the University of San Diego's Knauss School of Business. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Interdisciplinary Center for Economic Science at George Mason University.

Deng's research interests lie in the fields of health economics and market organization. Specifically, she investigates health behavior, health epidemics and healthcare markets using laboratory, online or field experiments, as well as observational data to provide insights and policy implications for the real world. Before her role at the University of San Diego, Yue contributed to the academic landscape as an instructor at George Mason University where she taught undergraduate courses such as Microeconomics and Econometrics. Moreover, Yue served as a Teaching Assistant for Behavioral Economics in the TFAS Summer Academic Internship Programs held in Washington, DC.
