Phil Zhu teaches courses in international financial management. His research focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and emerging market finance. He has published research articles in several journals including Journal of Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, Emerging Market Review, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Business Research, Journal of International Management and Journal of Educational & Behavioral Statistics. Zhu is a recipient of the Barclay Global Investor Canada Research Award in 2006.Before joining the SBA faculty, Zhu taught at the Eberhardt School of Business at the University of the Pacific and the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University. He also worked as a business analyst in a global management consulting firm in Canada. Zhu is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
