The Search

Call for Nominations and Applications

In August 2019, the search committee and search firm published the Dean Search Profile calling for nominations and applications. The search consultants will review and follow up on all nominations and applications and will actively identify and recruit potential candidates. The review of applications will begin in September and continue until the position is filled.

Candidate Assessment

The search committee is scheduled to review and assess candidate credentials and identify semi-finalists in October. The committee expects to conduct preliminary interviews of candidates in October and select semi-finalists in November. The search will culminate with final interviews by November, with a goal of announcing the selection of the new dean by the end of December.

University Community Input

The search will include a variety of opportunities for members of the community to share their hopes and aspirations for USD's next USD School of Business dean. A variety of groups will be invited to meet the final candidate.
