About the Ahlers Center for International Business

Encouraging globally-minded business leaders since 1994.

Our Mission:

The Ahlers Center for International Business develops global competitiveness in students and faculty at the University of San Diego School of Business, as well as in our community partners. We leverage economic research, business analytics and supply chain management to pursue international opportunities that build a more socially responsible and prosperous region.

Who we are:

We are a center of distinction at the USD School of Business that practices global commerce with a vision to create and share academic and practical knowledge that will cultivate both the professional growth of our students and the economic growth of our region. At the Ahlers Center, we offer experiential learning activities to develop and disseminate best practices, share resources and build bridges within our community to foster international opportunities for students, faculty and local businesses.

The Ahlers Center has aligned itself with the USD School of Business' nationally recognized Supply Chain Management Institute and the newly formed Economic Research Institute to create a unique team of academics and professionals who tackle business challenges together.

The Economic Research Institute provides high-quality analysis and commentary on economic issues important to the San Diego community. The institute's partnership with the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce has positioned it to be the sole provider of regional and global economic forecasts for the “Back in Business” post-pandemic recovery plan.

The Supply Chain Management Institute equips students and professionals with best practices for advancing overall performance in integrated logistics and supply chain management, including an emphasis on global supply chain procurement.

Students aboard Partner Universities and Programs From Argentina to the Philippines, the Ahlers Center for International Business has strategic partnerships with numerous universities abroad. These partnerships allow students to participate in semester exchange programs and earn international dual degrees.
