Ryan Hill '07
Ryan Hill graduated from the Business School in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. During his time at USD, Ryan took advantage of the numerous international opportunities offered through USD's study abroad office, including the Guadalajara Summer Programme, a semester in Madrid, Spain and an intersession campaign through northern Africa and western Europe. 1: What have you been up to since graduation?
Since graduating, I spent a year working as an Investment Banking analyst for Deutsche Bank before traveling to Bangkok, Thailand to complete my MBA in International Business from American International College. After graduating, I opted to stay in Bangkok to strengthen my Global Markets knowledge with the American Chamber of Commerce.
2: What is your fondest memory of USD?
My fondest memory of USD was moving into the Vista on-campus apartments at the start of my sophomore year. The atmosphere and extracurricular activities provided an excellent chance to make friendships, and become part of the USD community.
3. What is your favorite place on campus, why?
My favorite place is the reflection pool behind the Peace and Justice building. Enjoying the San Diego coastline with a La Paloma Santa Fe Turkey sandwich is definitely hard to beat!
4. Who was your favorite USD professor or class?
My two favorites are Dr. Jim Hardison and Dr. Carl Jubran. Both exhibit a contagious passion for life, and continually push students out of their comfort zone to reach new heights.
5: How have you remained involved with USD since graduation?
While it has been difficult to remain involved with USD overseas, I aspire to serve as a committee member and strengthen alumni chapters in my region.
6: If you could offer a current USD student advice, what would it be?
Study abroad, take risks, and welcome change.
