Student Life Pavilion

Hi, I'm Jocelyn.  I am from Bloomington, California.  I am standing on Plaza Menor.  Below me is Plaza Mayor.

The Student Life Pavilion, or the “SLP” as we like to call it, is the hub for student life here on campus.  Come on, let's go inside.

Inside the Student Life Pavilion is our main dining facility, called Pavilion Dining.  We use local and organic produce.  We even grow our own herbs on the rooftop culinary garden.

Tu Mercado is a full-scale grocery store open until 1am.  It offers fresh produce, frozen foods, and a sandwich, gelato, and a tea and coffee bar.  Tu Mercado also includes the spirit shop that carries USD clothing, gifts, magazines and other exclusive Torero merchandise.

The rest of the floor is designed as a student lounge that is open late and offers students a chance to study or relax.

Upstairs the third and fourth levels are situated around an open court yard and are the home for our student offices.  These floors also house The Vista newspaper, USD TV, and the USD radio.

We are now in the Hahn University Center, next to the SLP.  This is Frank’s Lounge.  Students can come, hang out, relax with friends, watch TV, or play games together.  Thursday night is game tournament night, and I'm going to challenge Anthony.
