Breaking Down Barriers

  • “I wish to reassure you that we remain committed to and reaffirm all principles reflecting our Culture of Care that protect immigrants on our campus and promote social justice and the dignity of every person.”- President Harris
  • “University of San Diego, Student , staff and faculty come to us from all over the world, and we cherish our deeply compassionate, diverse and inclusive learning community”- Prez Harris
  • “Diversity means difference, understood as an historically and socially constructed set of value assumptions about what/who matters that figures essentially in power dynamics from the local to the global. Some differences have been made to matter more than others. As a Catholic University, we seek to justly represent the breadth and beauty of God’s creation in our own community, embracing the values of both pluralism and equity.”—CID
  • “ As a university committed to academic excellence, we strive to include diverse perspectives as a way of maximizing the transformative potential of learning, teaching, and- scholarship.”- Immigration Dialogue Page
  • “The University of San Diego holds deep commitment to developing and sustaining a diverse campus community in the broadest sense, including differences in gender, race, ethnicity, generational history, culture, socioeconomic class, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship status, political perspectives, geographic origin, and physical ability.”-CID
