Torero Visit Day

We are excited to announce that our annual Torero Visit Day will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020 We hope you'll join us for the opportunity to explore campus while connecting with current Toreros and USD faculty.

Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. Throughout the day, you'll take part in an array of activities intended to help you envision your future at USD, including: 

  • Continental Breakfast with Torero Ambassadors
  • Clubs and Organizations Bazaar
  • Campus Tour
  • Student and Parent Panels
  • Lunch with Torero Ambassadors and USD Faculty 
  • Academic Breakout Sessions 
  • Admissions and Financial Aid Presentation


Weather Update

The weather is typically warm and sunny this time of the year. Make sure to bring sunscreen and a reusable water bottle! We also recommend wearing a hat and comfortable shoes so that you're prepared to explore campus.

You may register for Torero Visit Day via the MySanDiego portal. After logging in to the portal, visit the Admissions-Admitted tab and look for the "Admitted Student Events" section. When registering, please note that you must use the email address you have on file with USD in order for your registration to be successful. (This will be the email address we have been using to contact you.) If you encounter problems when attempting to register, please: (1) make sure your pop-up blocker is disabled, (2) try another web browser and (3) clear your web browser cache. If you still cannot register, please give us a call so that we can assist.

If you have not yet retrieved your MySanDiego username and password, please use the "Forgot Username/Password" link on the MySanDiego login screen, under "USD Applicants."

Planning your Trip

When arranging hotel accommodations, we recommend that you consider booking with Bartell Hotels. Owned and operated by an USD alumnus, Bartell Hotels offers discounted room rates to friends and visitors of USD and donates 10% of all total room costs back to the University in support of student scholarships. Driving Directions, Parking and Check-In

UPDATE: Registration and check-in has been moved to the Jenny Craig Pavilion. 

The Jenny Craig Pavilion (JCP) is located on the east side of campus. To access the JCP, make sure to enter campus via the Main (East) Entrance. From there, you will be directed to park in either the Mission Parking Structure or the Law School Lot (located between Warren Hall and the Pardee Legal Research Center). Campus trams will be available to take you to the check-in area after you have parked.

Driving Directions

From the North:

  • Use I-5 South
  • Take exit 21 for Sea World Dr./Tecolote Rd.
  • Turn left onto Sea World Dr./Tecolote Rd. (toward Morena Blvd.)
  • Turn right at the second cross street onto Morena Blvd.
  • Turn left onto Napa St. 
  • Turn left onto Linda Vista Rd.
  • Turn left onto Alcalá Park Way (USD's Main Entrance)

From the South (or the airport):

  • Use I-5 North
  • Take exit 20 for I-8 East and follows signs for Morena Blvd.
  • Keep right, following signs for Morena Blvd.
  • Turn right onto Linda Vista Rd.
  • Turn left onto Alcalá Park Way (USD's Main Entrance)

From the East:

  • Use I-8 West
  • Take exit 2C for Morena Blvd.
  • Merge onto Morena Blvd.
  • Turn right onto Linda Vista Rd.
  • Turn left onto Alcalá Park Way (USD's Main Entrance)

From the airport: Campus is about a 10-minute ride from the airport. Both taxis and ride share services are available and should cost approximately $15.00.
