The University of San Diego’s (USD) Department of Learning and Teaching is proud to host the Character Matters Conference. The conference is a two or three day event and features:

June 25, 2013 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

One-Day Seminar
Medal of Honor: Lessons of Personal Bravery and Self-Sacrifice
Develop an understanding of the Medal of Honor (MOH) material and how it can be used in your classroom and to share best practices using the specially prepared resources. Conference lectures are presented by two MOH staff members and MOH recipient Jay R. Vargas.

Thursday, June 26 and 27, 2013 8:30 a.m. -3 p.m.

Character Matters Conference: Educating Hearts and Minds
A variety of experienced teachers and counselors will share their ideas, suggestions, and experiences on the why and how to implement 21st century character traits and social-emotional skills in schools and classrooms.
