WHAT: Conference on “Breaking Barriers: What it will take to achieve security, justice and peace”

WHEN: September 26-28, 2012

WHY: To celebrate the work of notable Women PeaceMakers and to strategize how to overcome continued intolerance, impunity, corruption, misogyny and militarism around the globe.

HOW: Panel presentations, workshops and training sessions will engage participants in formulating recommendations under three primary areas:

Security (political/security priorities; legal rights and infrastructure protections; gender-sensitive policing; moderating extremism)

Justice (global justice mechanisms; effective legal frameworks; combatting corruption)
