A recital of contemporary and traditional music for khaen, the bamboo mouth organ of Laos and Northeast Thailand. Christopher Adler (USD faculty) is the world’s leading innovator on this elegant traditional instrument. His recital features new works commissioned from young and innovative composers across the United States, including Christopher Burns, Sidney Marquez Boquiren, Jeff Herriott and David Loeb, as well as his own works, presented along with traditional music from Laos and Thailand.
