For the past two years, I have been planning to be an Environmental Studies major and recently switched to Ethnic Studies something that allows me to combine both my passions of teaching and research. I got involved with the Women’s Center thanks to a lovely Woman with the fitting name of Sunny, who introduced me to a whole new world at USD. With that said, something that empowers me to keep going and make a difference is knowing that I will be the first in my family to graduate from a university while giving my younger brother someone to look up to. My position in the Women’s Center will allow me to leave my mark at USD while helping create a welcoming environment for those who seek for one.
