Wellness is a dynamic concept made up of an interconnected set of dimensions including emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual factors. Wellness is an active, life-long process that involves expanding knowledge, skills, values, practices and supportive environments that increase your ability to enjoy a balanced and fulfilling life.

The University of San Diego (USD) Wellness Area (Center for Health and Wellness Promotion, Counseling Center, Disability Services and Student Health Center) provides a number of services to support students in their efforts to enhance and sustain their health and well-being. Establishing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle while studying at USD is important for academic performance and enjoyment of life, as well as achieving other goals.
