KEY FINANCIAL RATIOS
Ratios in this table measure an institution's "financial health" by indicating the school's capacity to provide
promised educational services to enrolled students.
Net Return on Assets: change in net assets / total net assets at beginning of fiscal year
          Measures whether the institution's resources are growing.
Net Income Ratio:  change in unrestricted net assets / total unrestricted revenues
          Measures whether the revenue generated by the institution covered its expenses.
Operating Income Ratio:  operating income / total expenses
          Measures whether the core operating activities are covering expenses.  Excludes auxiliary expenses.
Viability Ratio:  expendable net assets / long term debt
          Measures whether an institution has enough net assets to pay off its long-term debt.
