USD's site visit for the Capacity and Preparatory Review was conducted October 12-14, 2010, by the visiting team members listed below. Team members held scheduled meetings with many constituent groups across campus.

The Commission endorsed the visiting team's recommendations in their Commission Action Letter to President Lyons on March 7, 2011. They emphasized the need for continued development of the assessment and diversity themes for the EER visit, and they also requested that USD respond to the major recommendations listed in the team's report.
Note that the dates of the site visit for Educational Effectiveness Review given in the letter have been changed to February 29 – March 2, 2012.
