The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) periodically reviews accredited schools to monitor their continued quality and effectiveness. USD was last accredited in 2000 and is currently undergoing review for reaccreditation. The final site visit for this review is scheduled to occur February 29 – March 2, 2012.
The WASC reaccreditation process has changed significantly since USD last completed the process in 2000. The process now involves two phases of review, both based on a systematic institutional analysis to improve educational quality.
