The Moot Court Program is administered by the Appellate Moot Court Board, comprised of students selected from among the outstanding competitors in the previous year’s moot court competitions.

The board performs two major tasks. First, it administers a competitive intramural program for second-, third- and fourth-year students. This competitive program allows students to improve their written and oral advocacy skills while competing for academic honors and membership on regional and national teams. Second, it sends national teams to compete in national and regional moot court competitions. Four competitions are sponsored by the Moot Court Board during the academic year. The top competitors in several of these competitions are selected to represent USD in regional and national moot court competitions against teams from other law schools.
