Financial Aid

The USD School of Law is committed to providing all possible financial assistance to students whose personal and family resources are insufficient to meet the cost of law school. The financial aid awarded to USD School of Law students may consist of scholarships, low-interest loans, private loans and college work-study jobs. Students are expected to commit their own incomes and a portion of their own assets toward meeting their living expenses and their educational expenses each year. Since scholarships and some types of loans are limited, students are encouraged to apply early for maximum consideration.

Approximately 80% of our student body accesses various loan programs. The average dollar amount of outstanding educational law school loan for a 2005 graduate is $71,400.00.
