Professor Wharton practiced environmental law and civil litigation
before joining the clinical faculty to direct the Environmental
Law Clinic in 1980. Since that time he has directed the
Environmental Law Clinic and taught Civil Practice, Lawyering
Skills II, Environmental Law, International Environmental Law
and the practicum. In 1987, he founded the USD National Mock
Trial Team, which has achieved national prominence. He is
co-author of the California Civil Trialbook (West Publishing).
