Elisabeth Cannon

Lawyering Skills Instructor and Department Chair for the Lawyering Skills I Department

Elisabeth “Lisa” Cannon has been teaching legal writing at USD since 2005. Previously, she worked at Latham & Watkins’ San Diego office, where she was a member of the Ethics Committee and an associate attorney practicing business litigation for five years. She graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she twice received an Outstanding Public Service award and was elected to the Order of the Coif. While at Georgetown, she served on the board of the Equal Justice Foundation. Cannon received her A.B. from Harvard College, cum laude, in American History and Literature. An avid violinist, she has performed in USD's Symphony and chamber music programs.
