Kenneth Coveney
Adjunct Professor of Law
Coveney earned a civil engineering degree at Santa Clara University in 1966. After service with the Army Corps of Engineers, he attended Stanford University School of Law where he earned a Juris Doctorate degree in 1972 and was admitted to the Order of the Coif. Following law school, he joined San Diego's largest law firm, then known as Gray, Cary, Ames & Frye (now Gray, Cary, Ware & Freidenrich). During the 1984-85 academic year, Coveney took a sabbatical leave and earned a Master of Laws (in Taxation) degree from New York University. He is currently a partner at Dostart Clapp & Coveney, LLP. His practice focuses on estate and transfer tax planning, estate and trust administration, tax exempt organizations and general tax consultation. Coveney is a member of the state bars of California and Colorado, the Tax Section of the State Bar of California, and the San Diego County Bar Association. |
