Mike Attanasio
Adjunct Professor of Law
Mike Attanasio is a partner in the San Diego office of Cooley Godward LLP where he practices in business litigation and white collar criminal defense. In April 2004, Mr. Attanasio was named one of the "Top 20 under 40" lawyers in California by the Los Angeles Daily Journal. He has represented clients in a number of high-profile cases, including investigations and prosecutions surrounding financial irregularities at Enron in Houston and Peregrine Systems in San Diego. He also represents companies and officers in class action securities litigation and other types of complex commercial litigation.
From 1991 to 1999, he served as a federal prosecutor for the United States Department of Justice, Criminal Division, Public Integrity Section in Washington, D.C. He received his B.A. from Princeton University in 1987 and his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1990; after which, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Rudi M. Brewster, Southern District of California. |
