National Summer Internships
A summer internship provides a way to gain valuable legal experience while offering support in an area that is typically under-funded and understaffed. Application deadlines range from September through June, with some agencies using a rolling deadline.
Information and applications for the following summer internships are available in the Career Services' Public Interest Summer Internships (National) binders. Additional internship information is available in the Public Interest Job Search Guide available in Career Services. Online information may be accessed from several sites, including the Public Service Law Network Worldwide www.pslawnet.org, Public Interest Clearinghouse www.pic.org and Equal Justice Works www.equaljusticeworks.org.
USD's School of Law Financial Aid Office provides a limited number of Summer Community Service Grants to help fund internships. Please check with USD's School of Law Financial Aid Office early in spring semester for information and application forms.
