Students
USD School of Law's Career Services offers students
the following services.
Career Services Official Communications
This website and Career Services e-mails are the primary means of announcing Career Service programs, interview schedules, special resume collections and other legal career information. Students are responsible for regularly reviewing the website and e-mails for information.
Our Symplicity job search system requires students to use their USD email accounts. Therefore, it is essential that students check their USD email accounts and make sure there is enough room on that account to receive career-related emails.
Law Clerk Job Listings
Job listings are often received daily and posted online. Positions include local, regional and nationwide listings with government agencies, courts, law firms and public interest employers.
Career Counseling
By appointment, students may meet with the Career Services staff to discuss career objectives and job search strategy. Brief walk-in appointments are also available daily during scheduled times.
Resume and Cover Letter Review
The Career Services staff reviews and edits students' resumes and cover letters. You can submit your resume for review by making an appointment with one of our staff or by delivering it to our office via mail, hand delivery or e-mail. Resumes can be picked up from our office after an average turnaround time of 48 hours.
Video Mock Interviews
Students can pre-register for videotaped mock interviews. After the interview, the videotape is immediately played back and reviewed by the student and Career Services staff.
Recruiting Program
Each year, employers interview students either on- or off-campus. These employers represent law firms, government agencies and public interest employers nationwide. More Information
