Law Firm Challenge
The Law Firm Challenge reconnects alumni to the School of Law and promotes participation in the Law Annual Fund. Law firms, companies and organizations in southern California with three or more alumni are encouraged to participate. The Challenge's success is dependent upon the dedication of volunteer “agents” at each firm who encourage colleagues to make gifts to the Law Annual Fund, come to law school events and stay connected.
Firms compete for the highest percentage of alumni giving to the law school and for the most dollars raised. The firms with the highest participation rates and giving totals receive special public recognition including prominent display of the firm names on a plaque outside the Career Services Office.
The Law Firm Challenge provides an opportunity for alumni to make a difference collectively to the school. In addition to helping build a stronger alumni network, participation in the Law Firm Challenge ultimately increases the value of a USD law degree as alumni giving is an indicator of the educational quality and stature of the law school in the legal community.
