Graduating Class Gift
What is the Graduating Class Gift Campaign?
The Graduating Class Gift is a way for members of the graduating class to say thank you and to help make USD School of Law a better place for current and future students by supporting a gift of their class's choice. To pursue this goal, a committee of students is assembled to vote on a class gift and to plan a fundraising campaign in collaboration with the development and alumni relations office. Support of the class gift helps students to transition from their current roles to those of alumni where they can set a precedent of mutual support and continue the tradition of philanthropy at the law school.
What is the 2008 Class Gift?
In December of 2007, the graduating class gift committee decided to raise funds for a scholarship in memory of their classmate Larry Mahlum. The Larry Mahlum Scholarship Fund provides financial support to career men and women seeking to enhance their professional credentials and skills through the pursuit of a law degree – just as Larry did.
