Nancy G. Henderson is a founding partner and the head of the Estates and Trusts Group of Henderson & Caverly LLP. Ms. Henderson will discuss the application of the gift tax annual exclusion in relation to gifts in trusts, gifts of debt relief, gifts to minors, generation skipping transfers, and gifts where business entities are donors and/or donees.
Ms. Henderson advises high net worth individuals and families in the use of sophisticated estate planning and charitable giving techniques designed to achieve a wide variety of tax and non-tax objectives. Ms. Henderson is a Certified Specialist is Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law (California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization). Ms. Henderson obtained her law degree in 1991 from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley. She obtained her bachelor’s degree, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Duke University in 1981.
Ms. Henderson has spoken and written extensively on estate, gift and income tax planning, including, “The Gift Tax Annual Exclusion: Advanced Topics,” which she presented in connection with the ALI-ABA's "Estate Planning in Depth" conference in Madison, Wisconsin.
