Places to Study On Campus

If you are looking for a quiet place to study on campus, try:

  • The Legal Research Center Reading Room (on the second floor); a lot of law students study here. Click for hours.
  • The stacks of Copley Library; there are several study cubes lining the walls downstairs. You’ll see the stairs on your right a few yards after you walk in. Click for hours.
  • The Harry Potter Room (otherwise known as the Mother Rosalie Hill Hall Reading Room) in Copley Library; make a quick right after entering and go through the double doors at the end of the hall.
  • The SOLES Reading Room; located on the second floor in Hill Hall near the front entrance.

If you need some background noise, try:

  • Any of the places listed above, but listen to your iPod on low.
  • The big wood tables on the second floor of Serra Hall in the hallway.
  • Any of the study lounges in the residence halls or academic buildings if you don’t live on-campus; for example, there is a study lounge on the 5th floor of Maher and a student lounge in UC 119.
  • Aromas or Bert's Bistro; these two places have a coffee-shop feel as well as tables and chairs for you to use.
  • The Group Study Area in Copley Library; enter the library and walk all the way to the back right corner.
  • The Seminar Room in Copley Library; enter the library and take the stairs on your right down to the stacks.  You'll see the seminar room on your left, and another smaller group study room on your right.
